Fees

The rate for the firm's lawyers is $150/hour, and the rate for the Firm's paralegals is $45/hour. This is for all cases charged on a time basis. We strive to make legal help affordable, so we direct as much work as possible to staff charging at a lower rate.

The following cases (other then Education Law) are not charged on a time basis, but are billed as indicated:

1. Personal Injury - Personal injury cases are billed on a 1/3 contingency basis. Unless otherwise agreed, we are responsible for all costs (filing fees, medical reports, appearance fees for experts, etc.) All such costs are reimbursed to the Firm, but only after recovery at the time of settlement or after a trial in which a successful verdict is obtained. The fee is also collected at that time. You will never owe anything if we agree to handle your case.
   
2. Worker's Compensation - Fees for Worker's Compensation claims are paid from an award, and are set by the Worker's Compensation Commission.
   
3. Criminal - Fees for criminal cases are generally flat fees based upon the charges involved, history and the facts of each case.
   
4. Traffic and DUI - Fees for traffic and DUI cases are flat fees based upon the charges involved and history. Fees are generally between $250.00 and $1,000.00 for these types of cases.
   
5. Education Law - Fees for education cases are billed on a time basis.
